Pali: Akkocchi maṃ avadhi maṃ ajini maṃ ahāsi menYe taṃ upanayhanti veraṃ tesaṃ na sammati
English: “He abused me, he struck me, he overpowered me, he robbed me.” Those who harbor such thoughts do not still their hatred.
Clinging to past hurts only perpetuates the cycle of negativity within ourselves. How can we actively cultivate compassion and understanding to break free from the grip of resentment?
