Pali: Na hi verena verāni sammantīdha kudācanaṃnAverena ca sammanti esa dhammo sanantano
English: Hatred is never appeased by hatred in this world. By non-hatred alone is hatred appeased. This is a law eternal.
Holding onto anger only perpetuates suffering, both for ourselves and others; choosing compassion breaks that cycle.
